SBC Portal
On the SBC Portal parents and students can access information relating to attendance, academic progress, personal details, timetable information etc. Usernames and passwords for students are as for their network accounts. For parents the details will be provided via email. Access to the SBC Portal can also be gained through apps for either iOS or Android:

SBC App
St Bernard’s College now has a School App. Go to the App store on your Apple or Android device and search SchoolAppsNZ to download the app to your phone or tablet. The app has a wealth of information and provides the College with an easy way to communicate with its community.
Google Classroom
SBC has launched Google Classroom as its online learning environment. Click on the above link to go directly to Google Classroom. Usernames and passwords are the same as the SBC Network credentials.
BYOD and Classwize
BYOD = Bring Your Own Device
As new technologies continue to change the world in which we live, they also provide many new and positive educational benefits for classroom instruction. The College now requires all students in Years 9,10,11,12 and 13 to have a device. In order to be connected to our wireless network all students must fill in and return the BYOD acceptable use form found below. Other details relating to the BYOD programme can be found on the following link www.sbc.school.nz/byod/
In order for students to access the BYOD wireless network they will require the form to be completed and to connect to the network named:SBC_BYOD
General connection advice: students will need to locate their wireless settings on their device and enter their username and password. For some devices more details are required. The details of which are below:
EAP Method – Select PEAP
Phase 2 authentication – select MSCHAPv2
Server CA certificate – select Do not check
Identity – put in your SBC username
Password – put in your SBC password
Leave all other fields blank
All students will need to install a small application in order for staff to give them appropriate access to the internet. This application is not active other than when students are connected to the College wifi. If you are using a Chromebook -please follow the instructions on the link below.

School webmail for staff and students (use your network login and password in the popup box – remember to keep your password secret!)
It asks for your username – do not include the @sbc.school.nz – just your username like you use at school.
Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is available to all staff and students. Click on the link above and enter your school email address and password. You are then able to access Microsoft Office 365 A3 products. They can be downloaded to various devices and a full web-based Office environment is also available.
Libre Office
A free Office – type suite of software called LibreOffice can be used if you do not want to use Microsoft Office 365.
Clickview
All students are now able to access Clickview online 24/7. Simply visit online.clickview.co.nz and enter your Google address (username@sbc.school.nz) and password and you have access to our Clickview video library.
Google Apps
St Bernard’s College uses Google Apps for Education (now known as G Suite).
You will be able to use the Google Docs (free cloud storage with free office applications), Google Sites (make your own websites), Calendar, Aviary (graphics and music editor) etc. Login with: “Username@sbc.school.nz” and your normal password.
Please note that Gmail is not included as we utilise Microsoft Outlook/Exchange for email.
SketchUp for Schools is also included – just login to Google Apps and select SketchUp for Schools (it is below all the other apps)
Printing
All printing is monitored by the College. Students who bring in their own approved device (refer to BYOD agreement) have access to the same network printers that they would have if they were using a school owned PC or laptop.

If you have logged in to your SBC Google account on your Chrome browser or have logged into a Chromebook with your SBC Google account then an extension entitled Mobility Print will have been added automatically to allow for printing. Simply go to Print in Chrome and select one of the above printers. You will then be asked for your username and password – these are your normal SBC account details eg username asmith etc.
If you have your own device such as a Windows or Apple laptop then use the following method to print.

The link below will only work if you are connected at SBC.
